We are no longer breeding our dogs. The last litter of puppies was born here in December of 2004. Breeding Shih Tzu's was certainly an enjoyable period of time in my life. It was both interesting and informative. I have met a lot of interesting people and pets during this time in my life.

We currently have four dog children living with us. Three of them are retired Shih Tzu's: Atlantic Beau Ti, Atlantic Kramers Smokin Ashes, Atlantic Chip N Dale Girl.

We also have a stray that has been part of the family for the last couple years: Homeless Joey

In 1999 we purchased our first Miniature Horse, Fae. In 2000 she had her first foal, Atlantic Jewel. Unfortunately Jewel is no longer with us after a tragic accident. In December 2002 Jewel got out of the fence and was struck by a car. She was rushed to the Atlantic Vet College in PEI where they set her leg. In June 2003 the leg spontaniously broke again (due to her weakened leg bone) and she had to be put down.

Fae had her second foal, Atlantic Jemstone, in 2002. These two mini's live with us and our dogs.

Here we are Joey 1 and Jesse James 3 in our beautiful home made Nova Scotia Tarten jackets that our mom, Abby in BC made for us! Aren't we just adorable.

Hi, let me introduce us. We were a small, family oriented, kennel, located in rural Nova Scotia. We did some dogboarding, some grooming and carried pet supplies. We began breeding Shih Tzu's 1992 and stopped in 2005 because of other commitments. We were members of the Canadian Kennel Club.

The Shih Tzu (pronounced shed zoo)is a stylish, lively little dog with an air of arrogance. This breed exhibits the demeanor that befits its noble ancestry. The Shih Tzu is a sturdy little dog whos expression leaves little doubt that it is always up for some fun. It is classified as a toy in the United States and is a member of the non-sporting group in Canada.

The Shih Tzu is the only breed of dog that I owned while I was breeding dogs! The Shih Tzu's were more than a hobby for me. They were my passion. I did a fair amount of research on genetics and health problems within the breed. This breed of dog are very docile and love attention. They are little children in fur coats.
